SELECTION PROCEDURES
ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
·
All teachers in the appropriate a grade level will assign
their students the topic: “Why I Should Be The Scholar of the Month”.
·
At each grade level, the teachers will submit a
composition that will represent their classroom to the campus principal
who will in turn choose the composition that will represent their
school.
·
Campus compositions will be submitted to Assistant
Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction.
·
Committee will choose two winners – one from the Northside
and one from the Southside schools.
·
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction will
inform KEPS/KINL & IBC of the results and campus principals of the
results.
·
Awards will be given at IBC Bank on the appropriate date.
·
Winners will be treated to lunch by the Superintendent and
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction.
SECONDARY SCHOOLS
·
All English teachers will assign their students the topic
to the appropriate grade level according to the calendar.
·
Teachers will choose one composition to represent their
classroom.
·
Composition will be submitted to the DSC Office of the
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction.
·
Committee will choose a winner for that grade level.
·
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction will
inform KEPS/KINL & IBC of the results and campus principals of the
results.
·
Awards will be given at IBC Bank on the appropriate date.
·
Winner will be treated to lunch by the Superintendent and
